Country rock singer and songwriter Brantley Gilbert began singing and songwriting original music when he was just thirteen. At nineteen, he was in a near-fatal car accident while driving intoxicated. Most of his memory was erased by the injuries he suffered. the accident led him to start working toward a career in music. It was good therapy. It helped him recapture some memories he lost in the crash. His first album, "Modern Day Prodigal Son," was released in 2009. His second album, "Halfway to Heaven" came out the following year and peaked at #2 on iTunes Country Album Charts and at #1 on the Billboard All-Genre Heatseekers Chart. He has toured with Willie Nelson, Toby Keith and many other stellar country performers.
