Primarily playing a blues-inspired style of rock music, Clapton has had many successful contributions to songs. His most notable works include “Layla,” which was recorded with Derek and the Dominos in 1971 and grief-filled “Tears in Heaven,” an ode to Clapton’s late son, Conor, on his album Unplugged in 1992. Eric Clapton has received 18 Grammy awards and sold over 100 million records worldwide.
