In the beginning, Pink Floyd was one of the early British psychedelic bands. They were known for sonic experimentation, mystical lyrics, and eventually a fondness for original stagecraft. As they evolved, their music and lyrics evolved. Their sound was progressive rock combined with hard rock and concept albums based on themes. By the time they recorded Another Brick in the Wall, both their live stage shows and increasingly political lyrics became the band’s signature. The themes they addressed often ended up on their band t-shirts. Pink Floyd rock t-shirts became popular among college students and young artists around the world.
