British-American guitarist, singer, songwriter, and producer Peter Kenneth Frampton was born in Bromley, Kent, UK on April 22, 1950, he is a former member of Humble Pie and the Heard. On January 6th 1976 he released a double album simply titled "Frampton Comes Alive," which was recorded at the legendary Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco, CA and the Marin Civic Center in San Rafael, CA. On the week of April 10th 1976, the album reached number one on the Billboard 200 and was in the number one position for a total of 10 weeks. It was also the best-selling album of 1976, selling over 8 million copies in the US and becoming one of the best-selling live albums to date, with estimated sales of 11 million worldwide.
